Custom Party Packaging: What to Confirm Before Artwork Approval
Custom Party Packaging: What to Confirm Before Artwork Approval
Artwork approval is most useful when the physical packaging requirements have already been defined. The final graphic should describe the actual product and fit the selected package, rather than forcing a later change to accommodate missing information.
Confirm the physical format
Record the packaging material, finished dimensions and packing arrangement. Identify folds, seams, hanging features and areas that may limit the printed layout. Review the actual kit inside a representative package so the visual design is based on a practical format.
Check the information as a system
Compare the product name, component list, quantities, barcode and images with the approved specification. Distinguish supplied items from styling props. Review text at its intended printed size and identify the person responsible for confirming any market-specific information.
Retain an approval record
Use a proof version that can be matched to the SKU and order. If a correction is required, issue a revised proof and record the final accepted version. A digital layout approval should not be confused with approval of material appearance or physical print quality; identify any separate sample review needed.
